Nurse Bear Brings Comfort

We recently received a very touching letter from Jerry Revell that we wanted to share. (Thanks to Mr. Revell for permission to post.)
I just wish to relate the story of the Nurse Bear that I ordered back in the summer of 2008. My sister-n-law has had stomach cancer for several years and was recovering, doing well. She came down with another round of cancer, and I ordered her the Nurse Bear with “Sirena’s Nurse” put on the front. When she went to the hospital, the bear went with her. It was a hit of the Birmingham Hospital. She told me the bear stood guard over her around the clock.
She passed away in July after 3 weeks, not able to overcome the disease this time. She knew it was coming and asked me if her Nurse could go to Heaven with her. I, of course, said yes. When we buried her, the Nurse Bear went with her and today is in Heaven with her, still looking after her. I wrote to tell you because I received another reminder about buying a bear today. I had not bought one before (or since) but please do not stop sending the reminders. I will again.
My sister-n-law said that I gave her 2 great gifts in the 34 years I have been married to her sister. The first was I named my daughter after her and the second was the Nurse Bear. I thought you folks should know your bears sometimes go to heaven.

What a wonderful story - Though I am sorry for the the loss of your love one. What a kind and loving thing you did. Love can do anything-Love can change the world.
