“These bears can’t help but make someone smile”

By Meg | August 11, 2008

Many thanks to Heather Robinson from Newbury Park, CA for sharing her Bear story with us.  She ordered our 15″ Ballerina Bear. We send our best wishes to her daughter for the speediest recovery possible!

I haven’t found another site that can customize so well. My daughter was accepted to a very reputable ballet company for the summer and 5 days before the performance broke her ankle and ended up on crutches. I was able to design a bear wearing a tutu in point shoes with a bouquet of pink roses (her favorite) in a cast on the correct leg and with two crutches. I could even put small phrases on the cast. Dance is her life and not only will she miss her performance, she will not be dancing for  some time. Nothing can make up for the emotional pain she is going  through but this teddy bear definitely put a smile on her face that is very much deserved and very much needed. It also arrived in less than 48 hours.  She is 13 but it doesn’t matter if someone is 6 or 60; these bears can’t help but make someone smile. They aren’t cheap but they are worth every penny to be able to customize to this extent. Thank YOU!!!

What a story! I frequently tell friends in the performing arts before a big show to “break a leg,” but Ms. Robinson’s daughter’s story is making me rethink that tradition. Here’s hoping she’s back en pointe in no time.
