Sir Elton John Visits VT and Gets a Big Bear Hug
By Wendy | July 25, 2008
Completing his career-long quest to perform in all 50 United States, Sir Elton John entertained a sold-out crowd at the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction, Vermont on Monday, July 21st. In honor of his visit to the Green Mountain State, the talented designers in our Custom-Made Bear department created a one-of-a-kind Sir Elton John Vermont Teddy Bear for the rock ‘n’ roll legend. Vermont Teddy Bear CEO Liz Robert, a concert goer herself, delivered the Bear, handing it off at a pre-performance reception to Governor Jim Douglas, who then presented it in person to Sir Elton John. Steve Mease took a nice shot of Sir Elton holding his new Bear. He also has an extensive scrapbook of the Elton John concert in Essex Junction. Looks like an awesome show.
