Bake Sale Shares the Honey 2

By Nate | October 10, 2007

A Vermont Teddy Bear on display in front of bake sale for UWCCMaybe we should just get out of the gift delivery biz and do bake sales 24/7. I mean, I was just floored by the amount and variety of food available at yesterday’s bake sale benefitting United Way of Chittenden County.

In addition to the complement of cookies, pastries, muffins, and breads, the Bear Crew pushed the bake sale envelope with non-sweets such as gourmet popcorn, chili, deviled eggs, and pork fried rice (Thanks, Nancy!).

Once again, multiple busloads of leaf-peeping visitors stopped by and helped us help UWCC. And the amount raised this time? $519.12 for United Way of Chittenden County.

Congratulations to Jess for all her great organizational work and to all the Bear Crew who baked, cooked, greeted, and staffed yesterday. You all are living examples of Being Bear.
