Summer Softball 2007

Hats off to Jessica Proctor for organizing a recent in-house softball game here in Shelburne on August 15. As reported recently in our in-house newsletter, Bear Facts:
Team Quicky Mart let three runs in the first inning, but quickly tied it up in the second. Doh! scored a quick seven runs in the third and fourth after a fantastic team effort by the heart of the line up. Quicky Mart’s late run in the sixth and three runs in the seventh couldn’t hold up to Doh!’s lead.
The highlight reel (if we had one) would be filled with unintended bunts, solid hits, diving catches, graceful slides, a home run called foul, line drives caught, line drives BTL (between the legs), fly balls snagged and of course fly balls dropped that rolled and rolled. Final Score: Doh!-14 and Quicky Mart -7. Stupendous performances by pitchers Allen Baker (Quicky Mart) and Rick Putnam (Doh!).
