Be Bear is for everyone who believes that we are all connected under one big sky. At Vermont Teddy Bear, we believe that our purpose in coming to work every day is to do good and spread goodness in a way that spirals out from Vermont and continues to "pay it forward." We want to inspire people to make time to connect with one another, and we believe that even the smallest gesture has the potential for profound impact in the world. We hope our readers will share their stories about how our bears affected their lives in some way.

I was conveniently on vacation, so I missed my first Green-Up Day. Anyone got pictures we can post?

We filled up about 1 and a half gaylords each of white paper and mixed paper. We filled up the cardboard gaylords to the brim and had more cardboard piling up. That’s a lot more stuff recycled this year than last year.
We did not even fill up much of the small dumpster we rented. I would say this is a good sign that VTB is becoming greener more and more everyday. We also recycled a lot of recyclable containers.

I know I’m gonna get into trouble for this but… What’s a gaylord? Honestly, that’s a new one to me.

It’s a container, usually made of cardboard that we use to hold recyclable materials.
