Be Bear is for everyone who believes that we are all connected under one big sky. At Vermont Teddy Bear, we believe that our purpose in coming to work every day is to do good and spread goodness in a way that spirals out from Vermont and continues to "pay it forward." We want to inspire people to make time to connect with one another, and we believe that even the smallest gesture has the potential for profound impact in the world. We hope our readers will share their stories about how our bears affected their lives in some way.

To all that made the bear possible:
I wanted to take the time to thank you very much for your added efforts in sending a picture! It looks GREAT! Many members have already commented on the excellent look of the bear, especially with a goatee!! I have made a nice announcement on our main page for your reference:

Thanks for all the great ideas in putting this together. As a team, no one “bear-ly” comes close to you in helping pick out the items!
Carson had come out of the heart surgery as planned with great success. Tomorrow - when the bear arrives, I have the family ready to take a picture of his after surgery smile. (If he is awake) I’ll forward that along when I get it to post on your satisfied customer wall!
Thank you all in your support.

I had the priviledge of selling this bear. It was a Monday night, late. The phone call went on for well over an hour. I had no idea what would happen to my request, (or Jamie’s request), to have the fulfillment team take a picture of the bear and send it to Jamie so he could post it on his website. I even had a co-worker tell me not to bother emailing anyone, as “it would not happen.” However, being bear is keeping promises, and I told Jamie I would try to meet his request, but it was unlikely. I did not work again until Friday night, and boy was I surprised to see that the team had come through! Jamie is a very happy customer indeed, as is the recipient who was facing heart surgery!
